Insights on the relationship between decision-making style and personality in software engineering

Software development involves many activities, and decision making is an essential one. Various factors can impact a decision-making process, by understanding such factors, one improve the process. Since people are ones decisions, some human-related aspects amongst those influencing factors. One aspect maker’s personality. This research investigates relationship between style personality within context of software project development. We conducted survey in population Brazilian engineers to gather data on their style. Data from 63 participants was gathered resulted identification seven statistically significant correlations (personality factor facets). Furthermore, we built regression model which (DMS) response variable independent variables.
